Saturday 30th July

First Team Manager

With regret, we have this evening accepted the resignation of our First Team Manager, Mark Grimley.

Mark has stepped down due to recent changes at his workplace, which have significantly reduced the amount of time available to him.

We thank Mark for his considerable efforts after taking over the reins at a difficult time almost a year ago.

Thursday 28th July

Please note that our league match away to Foley Meir FC, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday 3rd August has been put back to Wednesday 2nd November.

However, we shall still be playing host to FMFC here at Hillsfield on Saturday 6th August when we meet in the 1st round of the Edward Case Division 1 Challenge Cup.

Kick-off 3:00pm.

Friday 22nd July

A special mention for our young 'keeper, Lewis Jackson, who has unfortunately suffered a broken arm.

We all wish Lewis a speedy recovery and look forward to his return to the squad!!

As from the 24th February 2022, the government is removing remaining domestic restrictions in England.

There are still steps you can take to reduce the risk of catching and spreading COVID:

-Get vaccinated.
-Let fresh air in if meeting indoors, or meet outside.
-Consider wearing a face covering in crowded, enclosed spaces.
-Get tested if you have COVID-19 symptoms, and stay at home if positive.

You will not be legally required to self-isolate if you test positive for COVID-19. Stay at home if you can and avoid contact with other people. You will not have to take daily tests or be legally required to self-isolate following contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Next Match....

Despite a lot of hard work and some good individual performances, the Romans finally lost their first 'home' league match by four goals to nil at the hands of local rivals - Stafford Town FC.

The recent departure of three key players (Eric Graves, Tyler Barnes & Ibby Coman) obviously didn't help.

However, as usual, the guys never gave up and now with the appointment of our new manager, we remain positive with high hopes for our young squad.

The fixtures are coming thick and fast as the Romans now turn their attention to the next match when we welcome Abbey Hey FC to Hillsfield on Saturday for our next NWCFL fixture.

Kick-off is at 3:00pm...

C'mon You Romans!!!
