Disappointment as the Romans crash out of the Staffs Senior Challenge Vase despite creating enough 'clear-cut' chances……

Division One high-fliers, Leek Town Development, knocked out the Romans 4-0. (HT 2-0)...

Seamus Corcoran hit a double with Ethan Latocha and Oliver Bavington both on the score sheet…

Rocester probably shaded the first 25 minutes and created a number of clear-cut chances before conceding a goal in the 26^th minute…

Following their first goal, Leek seemed to step up a gear as they used their pace up front to great effect and although Rocester continued to create chances of their own, they failed to find the back of the net in return.

At the same time, the Romans were prone to giving away possession needlessly and the Blues took full advantage with additional goals in the 38^th,48^th and 53^rd minutes…

Although the final ten minutes saw the Romans start to dominate, it was ‘too little, too late’.
