Venue – Hillsfield, Rocester

Rocester FC v Milton United FC

Kick-off – 7:30pm

Result – Rocester FC 1-0 Milton United FC

 

A hard fought and entertaining 1-0 victory against  Milton Utd...

 

The first half was fairly evenly balanced with both teams creating chances but lacking that clinical finish.

 

However, just on 45+2 mins, following some concerted pressure by the Romans, Logan Taylor latched onto a loose ball in the Milton area and buried it!

This was the ideal time to score...

 

Following the restart, the Romans appeared to be in the ascendancy, and they created numerous goal-scoring chances without adding to the tally.

 

However, credit where credit's due, the Millers didn't take it 'lying down' and towards the end of the game, they really gave it a good shot...

 

Luckily, the Romans managed to keep Milton out through some nifty defensive work to make for a nail-biting last few minutes....

If only Rocester could have converted some of their many second-half chances, it would have made for a much more comfortable win. Having said that, a win is a win, and we are more than happy with the three points...
