It's a Clean Sweep for Bullock!
Players, management, supporters, sponsors and club officials attended Rocester Football Club’s annual Presentation Evening at Hillsfield on Saturday to celebrate the successes of the 2012-13 season.
The Romans ended their Midland Football Alliance campaign in 13th place, but as Press Officer Tom Buck and departing Manager Dave Langston both pointed out in their addresses - this was in no small part due to the fixture pile-up that meant 13 games had to be played during April.
Tom Buck began the proceedings by paying tribute to the management team and the players, not only for their open style of football, but for their fantastic commitment during those final months of the season when so many games had to be played.
All the volunteers behind the scenes, including several who were not present, were thanked for their efforts throughout the season before Dave Langston performed his final act as Manager with his own speech and presentation of the awards.
Gateman Dave Bourne was asked to present the Supporters' Player of the Season trophy which went to Darren Bullock, and Bullock was back just a few moments later to collect his second trophy of the evening - the Players' Player award - from Main Sponsor Phil Webster.
A small token of the club's appreciation to sponsors Hill & Webster Ltd, a framed team photograph, was then presented to Mr. Webster.
The club's 'Golden Boot' award for the leading goalscorer went to impressive young striker Edwin Ahenkorah, who netted 22 times during the campaign.
Finally, the Manager named his own Player of the Season and it came as no surprise when he asked Darren Bullock to come and collect his third award of the evening.
