Help wanted at Rocester FC

Do you have some time to spare to help run Rocester Football Club?

We want to make our clubhouse a popular venue for family parties and other events as well as a place for players and supporters to enjoy a drink after matches. We also want to attract more sponsors and advertisers from the business community, boost attendances at games and generally increase local interest in our club.

We are always pleased to hear from anyone who would like to help us in any way, but currently we are looking for:

·         Press and Public Relations (PR) Officer

·         Gateman

·         Lotteries Manager

          Groundsman

plus general Committee members who can help the club.

Helping us in one of these roles means you will have a say in the running of the club as a member of our committee - we meet once a month.

Here’s a brief outline of what’s involved, but it really depends on what you’re willing and able to do. You can always count on the support of other committee members and help from people connected to the club.

Press and PR officer

You would liaise with the local and non-league press about what’s happening at the club; possibly write match reports and other stories (e.g. on coming events) to send to the press and post on the Rocester FC website.

Gateman

You would operate the turnstile on match days, which entails collecting admission and programme money and recording attendance numbers.

Groundsman

Working alongside our existing ground and maintenance volunteers during the week, this role would ideally suit a local retired or semi-retired person with an interest in keeping the pitch and ground in good condition.

Lotteries Manager

We run a monthly Centurions Club draw, and during the football season a weekly Lucky7 results prediction prize game. You would be responsible for running one or ideally both of these fund-raisers with a view to increasing membership and income. This role could be commission-based or voluntary.

If you have a few hours (or more) to spare and would like to know more about any of these roles, please contact us by emailing rocesterfc@btinternet.com or by mobile 07770 762 825.
