Karl Payne

Striker Karl enjoyed a lengthy playing career that included spells with Chesterfield, Burton Albion, Belper Town and Bromsgrove Rovers among several others. He briefly played for the Romans in 2005 and returned to Hillsfield as Assistant Manager to Mark Wilson in September 2014 after holding a similar role with Ashby Ivanhoe.

Nat Pearson (D.O.B.   /  /  )

Midfielder who played most of his football for Rocester in the reserve team. He did, however, make 7 first team appearances during the 2008-09 season.

James Price (D.O.B. January 1988)

Right-Back James came through the youth and reserve team ranks at Chasetown before spending two seasons in the Midland Alliance with Oldbury United. He signed for Rocester in July 2010 after playing the two previous seasons with Staffordshire rivals Biddulph Victoria, but left a year later to join Stafford Town. Made 28 appearances.

Tommy Poole

Leon Pugh (D.O.B. March 1984)

Popular left-back who was with Wolves as a junior before moving into non-league with Wolverhampton Casuals. He had a spell playing for Melville United in New Zealand before returning to West Midlands League football with Heath Town Rangers.  Having spent the 2010-11 season with Tipton Town and Spalding United, Leon signed for Rocester in July 2011 but left six months later after making 27 appearances and scoring three goals.

Simon Purchase (D.O.B. February 1983)

A contender for the shortest ever spell with the club - Simon was injured less than five minutes into his debut after coming on as a substitute in the Midland Alliance fixture at Shifnal Town in August 2007. The injury kept him out for the rest of the season and he never returned. A creative midfielder, he joined Rocester from Stafford Town.
