After playing for Midland Combination side Brereton Social he joined Rocester in September 2010, and scored two goals in 39 appearances before leaving to join Stretton Eagles in March 2012. A versatile player who could step in almost anywhere.

Adam McMahon (D.O.B. August 1982)

Younger brother of Paul, striker Adam signed for Rocester at the start of the 2007-08 season from West Midlands League club Riverway. He proved to be a useful addition to the squad and popped up with some vital goals, but his chances were limited and he returned to Riverway in February 2008. Adam made 25 appearances and netted 5 goals.

Andrew Matthews (D.O.B. March 1988)

Attacking midfielder signed from Kidsgrove Athletic in October 2008. Scored on his debut but made just eight appearances for the Romans. He had previously spent eight years with Crewe Alexandra as a junior and two years with Doncaster Rovers, where he played reserve team football.

Paul McMahon (D.O.B. July 1979)

Elder brother of Adam. Paul netted 50 times during the 2003-04 Midland Alliance title winning season, claiming the 'Golden Boot' with 37 in the league. He went on to enjoy success with Hednesford Town and Stafford Rangers, helping both clubs win promotions. Paul returned to Hillsfield for a brief loan spell from Chasetown in March 2007. Made 100 appearances and scored 58 goals.

Rory Maxwell (D.O.B. January 1989)

Attacking midfield player, Rory quickly forced his way into the first team after signing from Stone Dominoes prior to the 2006-07 season. He represented the Staffordshire F.A. U-18 side and won a Staffordshire Senior Cup winners medal with Rocester in 2008 before leaving in January 2009. Made 94 appearances and scored eight goals.

Keenen Meakin-Richards (D.O.B. January 1989)

Midfield play-maker who joined the club in August 2009 after spending a number of years on the books at Walsall. His spell at Hillsfield lasted just three months and 13 appearances.

James McCarron (D.O.B. June 1985)

Centre half who first played for Rocester as a 17-year old during the 2002-03 season. James moved to Stapenhill where he won a Leicestershire Senior League Champions medal before returning to Hillsfield in January 2008. However he left again ten months later after totalling 95 appearances in his two spells, and had two goals to his name.

Paul Milward (D.O.B. August 1983)

Equally at home on the left or right side of midfield. Paul signed for Rocester in July 2007 after a three-year spell with Ashbourne United. Was with both Derby County and Port Vale as a youngster, and also represented Staffordshire at U-18 level. He made 20 appearances and scored 2 goals before leaving in 2009.

Connor McGinley (D.O.B. October 1991)

Connor came through the youth set-up at Rocester and broke into the first team towards the end of the 2008-09 season. An industrious player with a great attitude, however he left the club after making just 20 first team appearances - the last of which came in February 2010.

Roy Morley

Andrew Mottershead (D.O.B. June 1988)

Signed in December 2014 from South Normanton Athletic, 'Motty' came in as an experienced central defender who was strong in the air and a good reader of the game. A free kick specialist and an effective Centre Forward who could hold the ball up superbly under pressure. Other former clubs included Borrowash Victoria, Quorn and Shepshed Dynamo. He left at the end of the 2015-16 season after making 72 appearances and scoring 13 goals.
